Clarins Double Serum Review

Hey Hey my loves
Hope your week is going well :D

So this post is all about the Clarins Double Serum which I have been using and loving for the past 3 months now. I picked this up after I had Clarins Training with work. The lady Debbie spoke so highly about this product and allowed us to take a sample home with us to try for the night, I instantly fell in love with it.

Double Serum is one of the longest serving products in the Clarins range. It was launched in 1985 and has proven to be one of their most successful products to date. The  Double Serum contains active ingredients to help with  hydration, nutrition, oxygenation, protection and regeneration. The key ingredients are as follows:
  1. Katafray and Hydroclonic acid - These are the key ingredients to keep the skin hydrated.
  2. Kiwi - This fruit is the richest in vitamin C & E and it has the highest concentration of nutrients
  3. Rosehip oil - Keeps the skin oxygenated
  4. Pistachio and Green tea - are the ingredients used to protect the skin
  5. Organic Green banana - Helps to regenerate the skin and diminish the appearance of wrinkles.

The double serum is powered by 20 plant extracts and it has 2 efficient anti ageing formulas that target all aspects of the skin. The best thing about this serum is that it can be used on all skin types whether you are prone to oily, dry, combination, sensitive or normal skin.

Since using this serum I have noticed my skin has balanced out, it is visibly smoother, pores are less visible and my complexion seems more even.
9 out of 10 women will say the same as me too as it is proven to be a product that has worked for many and it is a multiple award winning product.

You can start to use Double Serum at any age and they actually recommend to use it from a young age (18/19)  so it is suitable to use on young and mature skin. You can use this day or night but it is not recommended to use it more than once in a day.

The best way to apply is:
  •  pump one pump of product in to the palm of your hand,
  •  rub palms together to heat up the product in your hands (don't worry about product being wasted as your palms in fact do not absorb products.)
  •  Gently apply the serum to cleansed skin.
  • Using some firm yet gentle pressure press the serum on to your face and neck using the palms of your hands, never tugging or pulling at the skin.
  • Move outward on the cheeks towards the ears, from the centre of the forehead to the temples, and from the jaw down to the lower part of your neck.
  • Follow with moisturiser

I know the steps seem a bit long, and even I don't do it exactly this way every time, but when I have the time I do like to give myself the full experience of the Clarins way. It is very luxurious and such a nice treat so do treat yourself :)

So this retails at €69.50 for a 30ml sized bottle and I think its around €89 for a 50 ml. It is pricey but it is so so nice!! If you have followed me on here for a while you will know that I do blog about products that I am very passionate about and really enjoy, most of the things I go for normally are very affordable but sometimes when I get the opportunity I will splurge that little bit more especially on good skin care. Your skin is an organ and it needs to be treated with great care and I am really realising this the older I get :/

So who else loves the Double Serum??

Let me know below :)

Keratase Bain Exfoliant Hydratant shampoo review

image: google images
Hey my lovelies!!
I hope you are all well!! So I haven't been on here in ages because my internet was not working on my laptop and using my phone as a hotspot was just too painfully slow!!! But it's back working finally!!! yay!! So hopefully I can post more regularly now !! I feel like I have taken a huge back seat from blogging and I really miss it so I'm hoping I can get back on the blogging band wagon and block out all the negative energy I have been feeling lately!! But we'll save that for another post some other time !!

Moving on... I have got to talk to you guys about this shampoo that I have recently learnt about and have been loving!!! So a few months back I went to my hair dressers for a curly blowdry and while I was there I just enquired about what shampoo I should be using as I was suffering so bad with dandruff and dry scalp at the time. It was at the point where it was so embarrassing like I would just tip my head and there would be a fall out of dandruff. It was really starting to get me down, so Tracey recommended to me to go to peter marks and ask for the Keratase exfoliant shampoo. I had tried all the pharmacy treatment shampoos and had been lacing coconut oil in to my hair every second or third night but just nothing was helping it. So I went to peter marks and was chatting to one of the girls in there and explained what was going on, she was so friendly and lovely and gave me the Keratase Bain Exfoliant Hydratant shampoo, it was €19 ( a bit steep I know) but I was willing to try anything at this point.

So when I went home that night I decided no time like at the present!! So I applied some of the shampoo on to a dry scalp scalp using the precision nozzle which the shampoo bottle comes with (see pics below ) this is so unbelievably handy to get it even down the centre, I then just slightly dampened my hair and massaged it right in to my scalp. I left it to settle for about 2-3 minutes and then started to wash it out of my hair ensuring to massage it right in to my scalp, when i rinsed it all, I then applied more of the shampoo and washed as normal. I then just used some of my own conditioner in the ends of my hair as I cannot go without conditioner. So I repeated this for 15 consecutive days and girls I am not lying I literally don't have a spec of dandruff anymore. I cannot believe it!! I really thought it wasn't going to work, I was very sceptical but it has worked and I will never use another shampoo again lol!! So just like our skin our scalp too needs to be exfoliated and looked after just as regularly! This shampoo contains zinc pyrithione, micro-beads and glycerol which helps exfoliate the scalp leaving it feeling moisturised and smooth.

precision nozzle
micro-beads
Now the only bad thing I have noticed with this shampoo is that my hair is getting greasy a lot more frequently than before. So before I would have gotten away with washing my hair every 3-4 days (I don't dye my hair so it just never really got very greasy) but now I'm finding I am washing it every second day! But if that's the only bad thing to come of it then I won't complain ;)

So overall I am so happy I found this product! I would highly recommend it and I will most definitely be purchasing it again as soon as my one is gone! Oh and that's another thing even though the bottle may look small it lasts ages!!! :)

So I hope you enjoyed this post! If you think this may be a product you need and want to try or have already tried it, please do let me know in the comments below or on any of my social media links linked below my name !! :)

Here is a link to the Peter Marks website where you can purchase the product online or you can pop in store to your nearest Peter Marks and chat to one of the lovely ladies in there for advice on what you may need :) Peter Mark online

Flormar Double Radiance Primer - Review

Hey my loves! :) Hope you all had a fab weekend!
That weather was just unreal and we had such a nice family weekend away in Galway!! Lucy had an absolute ball and I will be doing up a blog post all about our holiday and the Connacht Hotel this week too so keep your eyes peeled!! :)

But for now I am doing a review on the Flormar Double Radiance Primer!! So keep on reading to see what my thoughts are on this product :)

What is Double Radiance primer?

So I have seen so many blog posts on this brand lately and bloggers raving about it so I was just dying to get my hands on this radiance primer to see if it lived up to all the fuss, and well guess what it really does!!! I picked this up in Cara Pharmacy in Galway
for just €12.95. So it is a 30ml sized bottle and this little beauty works in 3 ways, so it gives you an amazing instant golden glow for a base which would do you on a non make up kinda day, it has an SPF10 which protects you from sun damage AND it primes your skin and enables your make up to last the whole day without having to touch it up!! You cannot go wrong with the price tag!

How to use it?

First I cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin. This primer comes in a pump bottle and I find that just one pump of it spreads well over my face and neck, the pump is great for not wasting any of the product. I love how it feels on your skin, it leaves your skin soft and glowing and it isn't sticky or tacky and you can apply your makeup nearly straight away after :)

Where can I buy it?

You can purchase Flormar products from selected pharmacies nationwide including Ryans Pharmacy (Daingean), Cara pharmacy, Bradley's Pharmacy Blanch, All-Care pharmacy Donaghmede and many more. Simply Foxy also sell it and you can purchase it here. You can find a full stockist list on the Flormar Facebook page by clicking here

Would I recommend/repurchase this product?

Absolutely yes, I am very impressed with this primer, I love the glow it gives,. I will definitely be repurchasing this product and more products from this brand! I would highly recommend to a friend :)

So I hope you enjoyed this review :)

Have you used any of  the Flormar products? let me know what you think of them :)

Thank you all for reading

Garnier Moisture Bomb review

Hey guys :D
Welcome back to the blog!!

So today I am talking about the new Garnier skincare range Moisture Bomb!! So I picked this up in Ryan's Pharmacy around a month or so ago and have been using it every single day since!!

So it's a day time moisturizer targeted for dehydrated skin!! This is something my skin tends to suffer with from time to time so this is why it was so appealing to me! It also has UVA and UVB protection which was an extra bonus :)

So I am very impressed with this product, it literally does what it is set out to do and that is make your skin feel softer, plumper (hydrated) and it also gives sun protection too. So not only does it deliver all these great uses it also reduces fine lines and wrinkles!!! What is there not to love right? It contains 2 super fruits extracts  called  pomegranate and Amla which are antioxidants which means that they protect against damages due to oxygen caused by free radicals, so basically they create a barrier from the dirt from the environment getting in to the skin.

I especially love this product because it does not leave a sticky residue on your skin like some moisturizers do, this literally soaks in to your skin preparing a perfect base for make up application. I have honestly noticed a huge difference in my skin since I have been using it, my skin no longer feels tight or dry and it appears to not be as dull as it had been doing. This product definitely gives it the boost it needs on a daily basis and I really do feel that it is now the moisturizer for me that I will use on a daily basis and repurchase again and now that I am so satisfied with the day time version I will most definitely be purchasing the night time cream too.

So this can be purchased from Ryan's Pharmacies for just €8, it can also be purchased from Tesco, Dunnes, Boots and other leading pharmacies nationwide. :)

Hope you enjoyed this review and if you too have tried this product please do let me know in the comments below or on any of social media links linked below :D

Thank you all for reading

L'oreal Cleansing Oil Review

Hey guys!!!
So I'm back! Finally after about 2 months of no blog posts!!! I decided to take a little break from my blog as it was starting to feel overwhelming and so many new bloggers are around right now I want to try and avoid talking about the same things as I know it can get boring for readers reading the same content!! So I'm back blogging now and have decided to not take it so seriously and to just enjoy it thoroughly as a hobby and a space I can go to to unwind. You can get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of it and that's the part I genuinely do not like! So hope you're all happy I'm back and I will be posting more regularly, but I do always try to keep up with social media anyway so if you're not following me on the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, you can do so by clicking the links below my name at the end! Also are you on snap chat?? come on over and say hi I'm at Tresbelle4 :)

So this post is all about the L'oreal Extraordinary Oil Cleansing oil! Ok so I know a few bloggers have wrote about this one but in fairness there is a reason for this :)
So  picked this up in Ryan's Pharmacy in Edenderry for just €6.15, I think its normally around the €12 mark. So when it comes to skin care I tend to be either really lazy or really good and do the whole shebang!! So with this I find when I'm lazy I'm still really benefiting because it really does cleanse well!

So it says on the bottle that it instantly dissolves all makeup, reveals nourished and radiant skin and it's non greasy it is also suitable for all skin types. So after using this product for a couple of weeks I can now verify that all 3 statements are in fact true :)

Using my fingertips I pump about 2-3 drops and I apply it on to dry skin massaging it all over my face including my eyes and lashes, I then rinse with warm water and pat dry. You are left with fresh clean skin and even though it is an oil it doesn't leave any residue or grease on the skin. I tend to have a different skin type every week so this being suitable for all skin types means I can use it whenever I please. I always moisturize after washing my face to lock in moisture so I continue with my regular  skin care routine after using this product. It is just so simple and quick to use o it's perfect for those lazy evenings! I use this one day and night too so it can be used as a facial cleanser before applying make up :)

So If you are on the hunt for a new cleanser and unsure what to go for I highly recommend this one as it's quick and easy to use and so affordable!

Have you tried this yet?? let me know in the comments below :)

The whole dinner was syn free and when I say it was the tastiest meal I have had in a long time I would not be exaggerating in the slightest!! Unbelievable! So keep reading to see how simple it is to make this yummy one!!  So we made this with some onion rings which I synned at 5 syns and the KFC recipe you can find here

2 Garlic cloves crushed
1 onion finely chopped
mixed herbs

LowLow cheese for topping

Method:

  1. Wash, peel and slice sweet potatoes in to chunky circles , spray dish with low cal fry light and place the sweet potatoes singly over the dish
  2. Spray some fry light in to a pot and add your peppers onion garlic, mix around then add canned tomatoes.
  3. Add some mixed herbs, salt, pepper, tumeric and more garlic salt and bring to the boil
  4. Let simmer for a few minutes before pouring it all over the sweet potatoes
  5. Put in oven on 180 for about 20-30 minutes, until sweet potatoes are soft.
